At Hearth & Hollow, we believe great coffee starts long before it reaches the roaster. That's why we source specialty-grade coffee from farms around the world, purchasing beans through partners who prioritize quality, transparency, and fair compensation for the farmers who grow them.

Every origin has a story to tell, and our goal is simple: roast each coffee in a way that lets its unique character shine.

Roasted to Order

Unlike coffee that may have been sitting on a shelf for weeks or months, every bag of Hearth & Hollow coffee is roasted to order for maximum freshness.

We roast once each week, and every order is scheduled for the next available roast day. Once roasted, your coffee will be packaged and either shipped or made ready for local pickup as quickly as possible. This means you're receiving coffee at its freshest, when its flavors are at their very best.

Roasted for Flavor, Not a Label

You'll notice we include roast levels like Light, Medium, and Dark, but we use these only as a general guide to help you understand the style of flavors you can expect.

Rather than chasing a specific roast color, we roast each coffee to the point where we believe it expresses its best qualities. Some coffees shine with bright fruit, floral aromas, and lively acidity. Others develop rich chocolate notes, caramel sweetness, or bold, smoky character. Every origin is different, and we roast each one accordingly.

Our goal isn't to make every coffee fit neatly into a roast category—it's to help every coffee become the best version of itself.

Whole Bean or Ground

All of our coffee is packaged as whole bean to preserve freshness for as long as possible. If you don't have a grinder at home, simply select your preferred grind option during checkout, and we'll grind your coffee just before it ships or is prepared for pickup.
